Tender description

Birmingham City Council invites expressions of interest for either a single or consortium lead provider to bring an innovative approach to the provision of Early Years Health and Wellbeing Services. In 2014 a review of Early Years Services was launched with three main criteria — Improve education and health outcomes; — Reduce child poverty; — Close the inequality gap in terms of education and life chances. As a result of a wide ranging consultation of stakeholders a model has been developed for an Early Years Health and Wellbeing Service which have the key elements of: — Quality health services from conception to age 5; — Quality parenting support services; — Keeping children safe. to achieve our vision to ‘give every child in Birmingham an equal chance to have the best start in life so they can achieve their full potential’. As a result Birmingham City Council invites expressions of interest for either a single or consortium lead provider to bring an innovative approach to the provision of these services. Birmingham is a young and super-diverse city and the service provider(s) must demonstrate excellence in inclusion and cultural competence to achieve the best outcomes for children and families Key documents informing this process are available at: www.birmingham.gov.uk/earlyyearsreview The annual value is in the region of 34 000 000 GBP but will be dependent on public sector finance constraints. The contract will for a period of 5 years with an option to extend for a further 2 years.
