Tender description

The focus of this procurement was to commission an integrated wheelchair service for people of all ages who have a long-term need for mobility assistance in the catchment areas. The priority for this service redesign is to ensure those with complex, long term conditions, are able to access the right wheelchair quickly, and with appropriate information and support. The full service will cover: • Assessment & prescribing • Supply and provision of powered & non-powered chairs • Delivery and Collection • Repairs and General Maintenance • Re-Use/Recycling, Cleaning & Decontamination and Planned Preventative Maintenance • Rehabilitation Engineering Services • Specialist Seating (risers) including cushions, accessories and pressure mapping.
