Tender description

North Yorkshire County Council has awarded a contract for an Independent Advocacy Service to provide Care Act, non-statutory, Independent Mental Capacity Advocacy (IMCA), Deprivation of Liberty (DoLs) Safeguards Relevant Persons Representative (RPR) and Independent Mental Health Advocacy (IMHA) Services for adults across North Yorkshire. The IMCA Service will be available to people over 16 years of age covered by the MCA, and over 18 years of age for the DoLS RPR Service. This will include collaborative working with the contracted providers of Advocacy services to the Council's Children and Young People's Directorate to ensure a smooth hand hold for any transitions cases. The contract will run between 1.4.2016 and 31.3.2019.
