Tender description

Cadw, the Welsh Government's historic environment service, intends to put in place a Dynamic Purchasing System for the provision of interpretation services. Please see the attached project description for more details. You may wish to register interest at this stage, however Cadw will consider this for information purposes only and will not take any information provided at this stage into account if and when the work is put to tender. To write strategic/pan-Wales/regional/site interpretation plans. These plans will inform the delivery interpretation across Wales for Cadw and its partners. To research and write copy, design, fabricate and install interpretative services. This may be multi-media installations including traditional interpretive products such as interpretation boards or exhibitions but may also include 3D objects, digital, multimedia and art installations etc. These projects may require the preparation of interpretation plans. To research and write copy, design, fabricate or provide and install specific digital interpretative services. This may be the provision of audio tours delivered through mobile applications or bespoke hardware; interactive touchscreens, audio or multi-media hardware; the provision of digital media such as augmented reality, CGI reconstructions or other digital technologies that deliver interpretation at heritage sites. To manage the implementation of multifaceted interpretation projects where specialist interpretive expertise cannot be sought from companies on other lots within the framework. Previous projects have had an overarching interpretive theme for the works and included elements such as detailing visitor centre refits including retail design and fit out, catering facilities, toilet specifications, staff welfare facilities, along with architectural and building works, running alongside interpretation design and build.
