Islington Council is working in collaboration with the London Boroughs of Barnet, Hackney, Haringey, Camden and the City of London on this re-procurement. The six Councils listed are working collaboratively as the North Central London sub-region. Please note: this is part of the Pan-London work to re-design GUM and SRH services to meet the future needs of residents. Councils in London have been working together on a unique transformation programme for GUM and SRH services across London. The aim of the Transformation Programme is to design, agree and procure a system/services that will deliver measurably improved and cost effective public health outcomes, meet increasing demand and deliver better value. Lots Lot 1a (Core): Barnet, Camden, Haringey and Islington ? a fully comprehensive sexual health system for STIs and contraception ? level 3 clinical services based in Camden and in Islington, including a fully comprehensive, specialist contraception service in Camden. ? level 2 sexual health clinics in Barnet Lot 2a (Core): The City of London and Hackney ? one level 3 service and three level 2 satellites across Hackney and the City. ? one clinic in the City of London Lots - Additional Services NCL are looking to include additional services within Lot 1 and Lot 2 as Lot 1b and Lot 2b respectively. The additional services include borough specific elements. Services included within these Lots are as follows: Lot 1b (Additional) – Borough specific Service for people with Learning Disabilities (Camden and Islington) Sexual Health promotion and Targeted Outreach Provision (Camden and Islington) Sex Workers Provision (Camden, Islington and Haringey) Primary Care (and other professional) training (Camden, Islington and Haringey) Primary Sub-contracting (Barnet) – this is a1 year pilot but with scope to continue, depending on outcome of pilot and review. Lot 2b (Additional) – The City of London and Hackney Local leadership of national chlamydia screening programme Sexual Health Outreach Pharmacists Clinical Governance oversight and Training The Service will be expected to cooperate and work in partnership with the London sexual health e-services commissioned by councils in London, in order to deliver optimal sexual health outcomes.
