The WIT Arena (located at Carriganore) is the new state of the art Sports and Events facility which will open in the summer of 2016. It will be the largest conference and events centre in the South East and will also comprise of state of the art Sports facilities. The facility boasts a main hall (2000 sq. metres capable of accommodating up to 2000 people seated), five seminar/training rooms, a 200+ seater restaurant with associated reception, catering and retail facilities. The sports facilities will include a gym, high performance gym, exercise and dance studios as well as the existing outdoor playing facilities and amenities. The WIT Arena will be managed by WIT Diverse Campus Service Ltd., which is a subsidiary company of Waterford Institute of Technology (hereinafter called WIT Campus Services). It manages a number of services and facilities for the staff and student population of WIT. Such services and facilities include the WIT Arena, Catering, Sports & Social Club, Sports Facilities, Student Accommodation, the WITCard, etc. WIT Campus Services is currently seeking to select a Company or Companies to supply them with Production and Event Management Services for new events and conference facilities at the WIT Arena and other locations as required. WIT Campus Services is interested in establishing a contract with a suitably qualified and experienced vendor to provide a quality service for the supply of all services associated with managing, promoting, fitting up and booking public events.
