The University is tendering for a 3D Scanner. The scanner should have the following features: • Fully portable – weighs less than 6kg • Fully Waterproof • Includes carry case / backpack • Includes a tripod • Wireless capability • Battery life of more than 4 hours • Range: 0.6m - 150m indoor or outdoor • Measurement speed (pts/sec): 100,000 – 1,000,000 • Ranging error: ±2mm • Resolution: Up to 70 megapixel colour • Field of view (vertical/horizontal): 280° / 360° • Data storage: SD, SDHC™, SDXC™;32GB required, 64GB card desired • Scanner control: Touch screen display and WLAN • WLAN access: Remote control and scan visualisation • Compass: electronic compass to give the scan an orientation. A calibration feature is desirable. • Global Positioning System (GPS): Integrated GPS receiver required • Software must be included. Software must also be Windows compatible and Mac compatibility is preferable. Updates for the software for 24 months should also be included. • Annual calibration and maintenance for the scanner should be included • Training packages to use the scanner are desirable
