Tender description

The contract is for the investment and management of the Royal Borough of Greenwich Pension Fund in a multi-asset absolute return pooled fund solution. The fund would be expected to include a number of the following asset classes, although it would not be limited to these categories; equities, bonds, currencies, commodities, property and high yield. It is expected that the preferred approach will generate net excess returns over 3 month Sterling LIBOR by a significant margin (expected to be 3-5 %), with a volatility of approximately two thirds that of equities. The size of the mandate is anticipated to be approximately 100 000 000 GBP. Only pooled fund solutions will be considered. Hedge Fund of Fund solutions will not be considered. The council reserves the right to alter the value of the funds awarded. This procurement aimed to award a contract to potential investment managers to provide their services in the management of a multi-asset absolute return pooled fund solution. The contract term is for a maximum period of 10 years, the Royal Borough of Greenwich does however reserve the right that at any time during the term of the contract, to give 1 day (24 hrs) notice of termination.
