1477/306/SW/PTG/16 3-Axis Milling Machine & Lathe (2 lots) The University of Sheffield wishes to invite tenders for the supply of a 3-Axis Milling Machine & Lathe for use within the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre's Process Technology Group at Catcliffe, Rotherham. Scope of Requirement: The equipment will be used for testing and demonstration purposes in the AMRC's Factory of the Future. The equipment should have the ability to machine numerous materials from the aerospace, automotive and other high value manufacturing industries; including Titanium, Nickel based alloys and high strength steel, etc. The equipment will also support the AMRC's fundamental research into technologies such as machinability, dynamics and process monitoring.
