Details

Published
16 August 2016

Tender description

Enhancing tourism related to food is an emerging policy ambition under the ‘Culture’ strand of the Defra’s Great British Food Campaign - launched early 2016. This policy direction is supported by Defra research which advocates greater potential to benefit local economies by increasing the linkages between food and tourism. The Authority is keen to encourage initiatives which advance these ambitions. Accordingly, Defra has earmarked £150,000 as a competitive grant scheme, to award funding to a small number of projects across the country that best demonstrate alignment to the aims and criteria of this grant scheme.
