Tender description

National Marine Facilities – Sea Systems (NMFSS) operates two ocean-going Royal Research vessels on behalf of NERC, RRS Discovery and RRS James Cook. Royal Research Ship James Cook is the most advanced of all the Natural Environmental Research Council Vessels, operating from the tropics to the edge of the ice sheets. Undertaking continental margin to deep ocean projects, she is at the leading edge of interdisciplinary ocean research. A new wire is required to ensure ongoing scientific research is capable.
