Tender description

The purpose of this Prior Information Notice (PIN) is to engage with the market in relation to a potential contract opportunity and invite the market operators of a forthcoming Webex which the NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) intends to carry out on Thursday 18.8.2016. This is relating to the potential procurement of a contractor for the Secure Destruction and Disposal of Confidential Waste for bulk volumes of paper waste on a monthly basis from Newcastle upon Tyne plus additional ad hoc requirements of bulk paper waste throughout the rest of the NHSBSA's UK estate. The NHSBSA is a Special Health Authority and an Arm's Length Body of the Department of Health. It provides a range of critical central services to NHS organisations, NHS contractors, patients and the public. The NHSBSA is responsible for processing GBP 32bn of health and related expenditure across a diverse range of services. The proposed WebEx is one of the NHSBSA's preliminary market consultation activities, its purpose is to give the market a broad indication of the opportunity which the NHSBSA intends to offer and to receive feedback from the market as to the NHSBSA's proposed strategy to procure this service.
