Provision of School Swimming Transport

Tender description

Bury Council is seeking a suitable PSV (Public Service Vehicle) operator to provide transport for schools attending swimming lessons at Castle Leisure Centre in Bury. During the period of the contract the successful operator shall convey schools both to and from the swimming baths on a daily basis. Schools will be attending swimming lessons Monday to Friday for either four or two consecutive weeks, a small number of schools will attend swimming lessons on a weekly basis. Each school attending swimming lessons can send a maximum of 40 pupils per lesson, swimming lessons last for 30 minutes although some schools will take a double lesson and swim for an hour. The contract period will be from the 12th September 2016 to 7th July 2017 with an option to extend by a further one academic year period 2017/2018.
