Pilot Results Based Payment Approaches for Agri-Environment Schemes in the Yorkshire Dales National Park

Tender description

This procurement will cover the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority's (YDNPA) agreed costs as delivery partners in a pilot project. It will enable us to pass on funding secured from the EU which is paid to NE as we are the co-ordinating body. The pilot scheme will trial a "payment by results" approach as an alternative to the current AE schemes management based approach. It will focus on 4 different options in two contrasting areas: Wensleydale in N Yorkshire and an area spanning the Norfolk/Suffolk border. NE were successful in securing 70% funding for the pilot from the EU in a bid submitted with Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority as delivery partners. YDNPA will deliver the pilot on the ground in Wensleydale with NE covering this aspect in Norfolk/Suffolk and providing the overall Project Management and co-ordination. NE, as co-ordinating body is the sole recipient of the grant monies from the EU and in turn we need to pay YDNPA for their contributions to the project.
