Tender description

Norfolk County Council wishes to establish a Framework of providers of Short Breaks. The Framework utilises the Light Touch Regime and will allow applications, from providers of short breaks, during the term of the framework. The primary reason Norfolk County Council provide short breaks is for parent carers. The legislative basis is to enable parent's carers to: — Undertake household tasks; — Meet the needs of siblings in the house; — Give time for parent's carers to access a leisure activity. Norfolk Children's Services also want to make a commitment that short breaks give disabled children: — The opportunity to undertake fun activities; — To be able to have the same opportunities as peers; and — Prepare disabled children for independence and adulthood. We are looking to commission a variety of services — see attached Lots. There is no guarantee of business. As a guide, the Council spend is approximately 1 700 000 GBP million per annum. However this does not represent a commitment to purchase the value stated, either as a minimum or a maximum, under the Framework. Orders placed off the Light Touch Regime Framework will be awarded on an individual basis. Market Shaping events will take place on: 13.9.2016 in Swaffham; 14th of September in Hethersett; 15th of September in Great Yarmouth.
