Tender description

The purpose of this exercise was to put a framework agreement in place with suitable suppliers for the supply of Library Resources. The framework will include the provision of books, e-books, journals / periodicals, e-journals, audio books, audio summaries, library discovery services and associated services to CPC members. The purpose of this framework agreement is to give EU cover and allow CPC members and other bodies to purchase at a substantial and demonstrable discount relative to the marketplace throughout the term of the framework agreement. The framework terms should apply to all eligible users of the framework agreement. The estimated framework value is about 11 000 000 GBP over a 4 year period and the framework has been split is split into 4 Lots as follows: Lot 1 — Library Books and Associated Services; Lot 2 — Library E-Books and Associated Services; Lot 3 — Journals / Periodicals, E-Journals and Associated Services; Lot 4 — Library Discovery Services. We received 3 completed tenders from suppliers who declared themselves as an SME. It is a requirement of the Tender that the selected supplier(s) extend the terms to all eligible Institutions and Consortia, as defined by the CPC including further education colleges/institutions, universities, sixth forms, academies, schools, museums and other similar organisations. The tender is also available for Higher Education institutions via our colleagues in other Consortia. As per our joint contracting programme other bodies that could potentially be interested in accessing the agreement include NWUPC (North Western Universities Purchasing Consortium). CPC reserves the right during the period of this agreement to make additions to or subtractions from the list of participating Institutions and Consortia. The right is also reserved to negotiate the inclusion of other users who are outside the main scope of this Framework Agreement.
