Bord Iascaigh Mhara (BIM), the Irish Sea Fisheries Board, is the state agency set up to promote the sustainable development of the Seafood sector. Our mission is to grow a thriving Irish seafood industry, expand the raw material base, add value and develop efficient supply chains that together deliver on the Government’s strategy for the seafood sector. As part of this mandate, BIM are the primary training body for fishermen in Ireland. Training is provided at dedicated colleges in Greencastle, Co. Donegal and Castletownbere, Co. Cork as well as Coastal Training Units that travel throughout the country. As part of a major development planned for the National Fisheries College at Greencastle, called the Greencastle Sea Survival Training Centre/SSTC, BIM wish to appoint a consultant Integrated Design Team to prepare the design and tender documents and to oversee the successful completion of the SSTC through its full life-cycle from planning to commissioning and handover to the client. The successful applicants will act as the primary conduit between the BIM Project Manager and the contractors throughout the planned build and commissioning, ensuring that BIM’s interests are fully met through the project.
