Housing Internal and External Redecorations

Tender description

The City invites Tenders for the provision of City of London Housing Internal and External Redecorations. The redecoration of all existing painted areas of masonry including balcony soffits, handrails, entrance doors where detailed internal common area ceilings, galvanized metal windows, and other areas detailed within the City of London Scope of Works and Specification attached within the Tender Package. The City Corporation’s Responsible Procurement objectives relevant to this contract are: Environmental: The use of products that adhere to the Government Buying Standards mandatory criteria is required, wherever practicable. Of particular relevance to this contract are the standards relating to Paints and Varnishes. Social Value: The provision of employment and skills opportunities during the execution of the contract is mandatory. However, bidders are able to select the combination of opportunities they wish to provide from the Employment & Skills Menu, Question 6 in the technical envelope. Bidders are also strongly encouraged to attend a dedicated event, which will be held on 6th September 12-3pm at Golden Lane Community Centre, designed to introduce bidders to organisations whose role is to help businesses meet their employment and skills needs.
