Tender description

Housing related support is an approach that helps to prevent homelessness and provide young people with the tools and skills to move on to and maintain independent living in their community within the borough of South Tyneside, reducing the reliance on statutory services such as health and social care intervention. South Tyneside Council wish to tender for a community based outreach service for young people aged 16 to 24. The organisation will work across the borough of South Tyneside and will ensure that young people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness are fully supported to access and engage the services that they need to enable them to avoid eviction and homelessness and to access suitable accommodation or remain in their homes. The service will prevent homelessness and help young people to access and maintain suitable accommodation whilst helping them to achieve wider outcomes connected with health, well-being, employment and training.
