Tender description

North Somerset Council is looking to tender for the provision of a Housing Related Service. This will be a flexible and multi-disciplinary service, which is able to meet the majority of presenting needs. These services play a key role in ensuring that individuals who are at risk of housing crisis, loss of independence, etc., can receive the appropriate support to enable them to continue to live independently within the wider community. There are significant social and financial drivers in the provision of these services, and it has been recognised that there are cost savings elsewhere within the public sector achieved through the provision of appropriate, person and goal-centred support, focussed towards housing retention and independence. The contract is for a term of five years to end 31.6.2022, with a possible extension of 2 years, 1 year at a time. The proposed tender method is to be competitive dialogue at which time the final agreed budget for the Service will be negotiated. The Service is to be in operation from 1.7.2017. This stage of the process is to scope the market position to see if it is competitive and to inform whether a tender procedure will be required to select a Provider for this service.
