Tender description

The construction of peat dams in grips and gully systems and re-profiling of gully sides on restoration works sites around the Peak District National Park and South Pennines Special Area of Conservation. The construction of Peat Dams in grips and gully systems and re-profiling of gully sides on restoration works sites including: a. Adherence to the requirements of the CDM Regulations 2015; b. Unloading of machinery and tracking machinery across open moorland to the work site(s); c. Installation of functioning Peat Dams of good construction in strategically-appropriate locations within grip and gully systems; d. Ensuring fully vegetated Peat Dam structure with a natural finish and a high degree of integration with the surrounding habitats; e. Undertaking effective re-profiling of eroding gully systems; f. Providing a GPS record of the location of constructed Peat Dams and re-profiling to the Authority.
