Tender description

The provision of Sheriff Officer and Messenger at Arms and debt collection services, implementing recovery procedures and carrying out diligence using the powers conveyed under the Summary Warrant process or any other process which amends or supersedes this process throughout the period of the contract, and in accordance with the Debtors (Scotland) Act 1987 as amended and other relevant legislation, all in line with the Council's policies and procedures. To manage a contract for debt collection services in order to collect outstanding monies for the Council as efficiently and effectively as possible, to maximise the Councils income for the under-noted income streams: Council Tax (including water and sewerage charges; Housing Benefit Overpayments; Business Rates; Sundry Debts; Former Tenancy Arrears; Rent Evictions; Further Chargeable Items).
