Tender for Farm Management Services. Wyndhurst Farm is the University of Bristol's farm situated at Lower Langford, North Somerset; it provides a platform for practical teaching of the BVSc Veterinary Science programme and for research into farm animal welfare and production disease. Wyndhurst Farm comprises 265 acres of pastureland with approximately 200 dairy cows, 100 breeding ewes together with associated buildings and machinery. For the last 6 years, the farm has been managed by an external farm management company that has allowed the University deliver against its key objectives for the farm which are the delivery of best practice, provision of excellent facilities for undergraduate and post graduate teaching, support for research and effective financial management of the farm business. As the contract with the existing farm management company is now coming to an end, the University intends to re-tender the contract.
