Summary of the work To Provide a flexible team of engineers and delivery managers to manage waterfall and agile based projects which deliver transitional readiness/transformations and specific products via multi-disciplinary, skilled digital teams. You’ll be adept at delivering multiple complex digital projects, on-boarding of partners and support of the wider programme team. Specialist role Delivery manager Expected Contract Length 2 years but may be shorter depending on progress towards delivering the strands of work. Latest start date 01/08/2016 Who Speclialist Work With The Transition Engineers/Delivery Managers will be working within the Transition team to help delivery the service as well as external partnering organisations. What Specialists Work On 1. Work with the Partners Project team to plan, execute and manage the physical preparation of multiple Partner sites, and coordinate the deployment of the technology solution, following the delivery framework, into live production service. 2. Conduct Partner site surveys in conjunction with third parties, and provide design consultation that assures certification to the required standards. 3. Produce reports and documentation to support all Security accreditation requirements. 4. Complete weekly status and communication, reporting back into the programme. 5. Participate in release readiness and cutover into live production service. 6. Ensure programme Issue, risk and escalation management processes are followed. Skills & Experience • Have passed the MOD SCIDA course • DV Security Clearence Nice to Haves • ITIL • PRINCE2 or equivalent • Exposure working with DII, MOD, Atlas and or Government • Suitable employment history in a relevant network design and installation discipline • Experience with and deployment of web based office productivity and collaboration tools • Experience of security and installation standards • Demonstrable knowledge of network testing procedures Work Location Cabinet Office, 70 Whitehall, London, SW1A 2AS. Travel to other partnering organisations throughout the UK will be required as part of these roles. Working Arrangments Full-time 5 days a week based at Cabinet Office, which will also include travelling to partners across the UK, subject to internal subsistence policy. This programme is being delivered using waterfall and agile methodologies, depending on the workstream. Security Clearance The role will require Developed Vetting (DV) Security Clearance. Please clarify the latest start date (currently listed as 1/8/2016) What is the budget for this assignment? The latest start date is the 15/08/2016. There is no set budget for the specialists required. 2. Please clarify the following - When you state Flexible team, will you still be requiring 5 days a week. It could be either at supplier premises or Buyers premises. We will require a 5 working day week. This will be at the London office as well as travelling to partnering sites. 3. Do consultants need to hold existing DV Clearance? Could we for example supply consultants with current SC but who are prepared to be vetted for DV? In relation to DV clearance, this is something that would need to be held from the start of the work. Due to the time frame for DV Clearance to be carried out it, we could not accommodate this.
