Tender description
The collection of dry recycling, food waste, garden waste and refuse from households, the collection of dry recycling from bring sites, clinical waste and the management of household waste recycling centres. It will also include commercial waste. The contract will cover the collection of dry recycling, food waste, garden waste and refuse from households, the collection of dry recycling from bring sites, clinical waste and the management of household waste recycling centres. It will also include commercial waste. The contract will commence on 1.3.2017 and will have an initial term of 7 years with the provision to extend for 1 or more periods up to a maximum contract term of 20 years. It is estimated that the total real terms value of the contract will be around 7 000 000 GBP per annum. For the avoidance of doubt the stated value excluding VAT below is for the initial contract term of 7 years (84 months). The council may provide capital funding for plant and fleet investment.
