Purchase and conversion for 2 emergency response vehicles - Call off CCS framework - RM1070 - Lot 7 Blue light sector

Tender description

This procurement was a Call off from the Call off CCS Framework – RM1070 – Lot 7 Blue Light Sector framework and was only available to suppliers on that framework: Merseytravel is seeking to purchase 2 new 2X4 or 4X4 Estate / Crossover / Hatchback type vehicles along with a vehicle conversion for use by the Mersey Tunnels Police. The vehicle supplied must be proven to be compliant with the necessary standards and regulations for legal operation on the UK Highway network including Motorways. Health and safety is also paramount and any vehicle must meet all health and safety legislation and be operable in a safe manner. A key requirement is for the vehicle to operate in and around the Queensway and Kingsway Tunnel environment and shall be capable of towing braked vehicles of a minimum weight of 2100kg out of the Mersey Tunnels which have an incline of up to 12%.
