Tender description

This is a Voluntary Ex Ante notice for the purpose of Transparency and is not a call for competition. South Worcestershire CCG wish to publish their intent with regards to the following service: — Community based musculo-skeletal services, typically GP referred type MSK case-load but will be a self-referral service with triage and community based services, mostly in GP practices. The model will include the option for GP direct referral where needed. The specification does not include specialist areas such as neuro-physiotherapy, gynaecology, pregnancy nor patients under 16. It will include pain management services. The service will require input from suitably qualified Extended Scope Physiotherapists. The estimated annual value is 2 200 000 GBP per annum. South Worcestershire CCG are looking to let the contract to Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust (WHACT) who are currently providing some of these services. The reason for not going to competition is that the majority of the existing case-load already sits with the WHACT and they have well established links with primary care and are already established in GP Practices. This is therefore considered to be a redesign of existing provision, not a new service. The CCG is looking to let the contract to the provider for a term of 2 years contract with a 1 year extension option. The contract will start after successful completion of the standstill period and by 1.4.2017. As the CCG is a relevant body for the purpose of the National Health Service (Procurement, Patient Choice and Competition) (No 2) Regulations 2013 these Regulations also apply to this procurement. All dates, time periods and values specified in this notice are provisional and the contracting authority reserves the right to change these. Transparency: The contracting authority is subject to the Freedom of Information Act 200 (FOIA) and the Environmental Information Regulations 2004 (EIR) and may be required to disclose information received in the course of this service under FOIA or the EIR. In addition, and in accordance with the UK Government's policies on transparency. This service may be subject to possible redactions at the discretion of the contracting authority. Any redactions, whether in relation to information requests under FOIA, the EIR or polices on transparency will be in accordance with those grounds prescribed under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and the Environmental Information Regulations 2004.
