Tender description

For the supply of 6 lightning detection systems (‘LDS’) comprising five (5) lightning detection systems, plus 1 spare system, for deployment at five (5) airports. Solutions for this requirement may consist of lightning detector sensors or data services for the provision of the required data. Solutions for this requirement may consist of lightning detector sensors or data services for the provision of the required data. This RFT is based on a single point local LDS on the airfield. A lightning detection network (‘LDN’) will be considered if it can produce data as good as, or better than an LDS at less cost (i.e. the required data for each aerodrome site is equivalent or superior to that expected from each LDS and also the LDN data provision costs are less than providing LDS sensors). In case of LDN data the contractor will be expected to supply the required lightning data in a separate file for each airport. Installation services for the systems will be considered.
