Tender description

The University wishes to establish a contract with a professional services firm to provide internal audit services as part of a co-sourced model. The provider will work alongside the small team of University employed staff and be responsible to the Head of University Assurance (UAS). The provider will work within the framework established by the Head of UAS and provide assignment reports produced in collaboration with the University's Assurance Service, in the University's agreed format, based on the scope of work established in consultation with the Head of UAS. The work is likely to be varied and require staff at differing levels of seniority and expertise. The core of the work is likely to be general audit work, with an emphasis on controls and compliance, and specialist information governance assurance work. The contract is for an initial period of 3 years, with 2 additional periods of 12 months available dependent upon supplier performance and requirement. The contract is for the sole use of Durham University. A supplier briefing meeting is to be held on 8.9.2016 at Durham University premises.
