Tender description

NHS Liverpool Clinical Commissioning Group is commissioning a city-wide anticoagulation service. This notice is published on behalf of the CCG to gauge market interest for the provision of the future service. NHS Liverpool CCG is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified service providers to deliver an INR monitoring and management service for patients prescribed a vitamin K antagonist. There are approximately 7100 patients on warfarin, with 80 % being seen in one of more than twenty sites across the city and the remainder receiving domiciliary care. The service covers all patients prescribed a vitamin K antagonist for the full range of indications. The CCG anticipates awarding a 3 year contract with the option to extend for a further 2 years at their discretion. The anticipated annual contract value is circa 2 000 000 GBP. The CCG anticipates undertaking a formal procurement process during late August or early September 2016 working towards full service commencement April 2017. The responses to this invitation will inform how such a process may need to be designed. Please note that this notice does not commit NHS Liverpool CCG to undertake the procurement of Anticoagulation Services and that the submission of an expression of interest is not a prerequisite to any subsequent procurement process.
