Tender description

Cambridgeshire County County is commissioning a Local Assistance Service that provide practical information, advice, support and assistance for vulnerable people and families under exceptional pressure to remain in the community. The current scheme focusses on the provision of beds, white goods and vouchers. (see www.cambridgeshire.gov.uk/clas) We would like the emphasis of the new scheme to deliver a proportionate response to client needs that prioritises prevention. This includes information and advice, offering joined up solutions with other support services. Facilitating access to a range of low cost furniture and white goods, making use of reliable, refurbished and reused items as part of an effective, linked intervention. The estimated annual value is 300 000 GBP per annum. It is anticipated that the contract will be for 3 years with an option to extend for a further 2 years.
