Tender description

The background to this request is that DFID Malawi is planning a 5 year (2017-2021) (approx. 60 000 000/70 000 000 GBP) integrated preventative health programme designed to increase adoption of beneficial health behaviours and uptake of health products and services among the general population through a broad-based behaviour change and communications initiative. The programme aims to deliver health promotion interventions that have traditionally been delivered separately through 1 programme to address underlying causes of ill health and social determinants of health. This will cover Nutrition, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) and Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR). Other health risk factors such as gender based violence, indoor air pollution, and Non Communicable Diseases (NCDs) risk factors (smoking, lack of exercise, diet etc.) will also be considered. The programme will also link to other DFID Malawi programmes that aim to address food insecurity, empowerment, service delivery, governance, accountability and other public health initiatives. The services required for the above mentioned are overall programme management and financial management.
