Contract for The Supply of Construction & Building Materials

Tender description

Gateshead Council working with The Gateshead Housing Company is seeking to enter into a Framework contract with numerous/multiple suppliers who can efficiently provide a wide range of Construction & Building Materials which will assist the Council in delivering a high quality cost effective Housing Repairs and Maintenance Service together with other operational Construction Services. The Council has recently integrated its Construction Service team with The Gateshead Housing Company (The Service) with the intention of directly delivering the Housing Repairs and Maintenance Works and Services. The Framework will be divided into 2 Lots as detailed within the specification and outlined below :- Lot 1 Imprest Stock Lot 1- This Lot will be divided into kits for various trades. We will appoint ONE Tenderer per kit type. Tenderers bidding to supply kits MUST be capable of supplying every item listed within that kit. Tenderers can bid for one or more kits. Lot 2 General Stock Lot 2 - This Lot consists of a number categories each category containing many items. Tenderers may bid for one or more of the items within each category. Tenderers will be ranked for each item for which they have bid. The first 3 ranked Tenderers will be awarded the item. The Tenderer ranked 1 will be asked to supply the item in the first instance, if the first ranked Tenderer cannot for whatever reason supply the item the second ranked will be asked and so on.
