Tender description

This commission is part of a Market Town Regeneration Scheme that Central Bedfordshire Council set aside £4M for in September 2015. Local Town Councils were invited to put forward bids and in April 2016. Sandy Town Council became one of eight successful applicants and their bid included a scheme to lead a mosaic trail across three market towns. Sandy Town Council seeks a specialist professional mosaic artist to deliver nine mosaics as an historic trail through three towns. This has been conceived as an artist led community project with the chosen artist working closely with the locally based Project Manager. There will need to be a substantial engagement with local schools, church and other local communities and BeNCH CRC (ex offender rehabilitation scheme), all of which are currently on board with the project.
