Administration Services / Miscellaneous Business-Related Services: Chevening. The Foreign & Commonwealth Office will be tendering for the administration of the Chevening Scholarships Programme. This programme has been run by the FCO since 1983. It enables outstanding students with high potential form around the world to carry oput postgraduate study, usually a one-year Masters course, at Higher Education Institutions in the UK. Since 1983, over approx 44 000 students have participated in the scheme. The objective of the administration contract is the efficient and effective ptrovision of administration services for all Chevening Scholarships, both in the UK and overseas. Marshall Aid Commemoration Commission (MACC). The Marshall Aid Commemoration Commission, (MACC) and the Marshall Scholarship programme were created by the 1953 Marshall Aid Commemoration Act (as amended). The MACC is core funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO). Marshall Scholarships provide opportunities for young Americans of high academic ability to undertake postgraduate study at a British university and take a British University degree. In recent years about forty new awards have been offered each year. Scholarships can be held for one, two or three years. Of the new awards available in any year eight may be held for 1 year, and the remainder for 2 years. A small number of two year awards (usually 4-6) may be extended for a third year, if funding is available. The MACC is a Non-departmental Public Body (NDPB) sponsored by the FCO and is subject to the standard government procedures relating to NDPBs. The MACC, with the assistance of the FCO, is seeking to select and appoint an implementation agency (the Contractor) to provide a range of administrative services. The above requirements will be tendered as individual contract requirements.
