Tender description

This tender is for a completely new CAREN network with connections between GÉANT and the Central Asian countries. The CAREN network serves the research and education sector of Central Asia with fully non-for-profit use. The network solution will serve the region with higher network capacities, greatly improved price/performance and, if possible, create a more regionally-centric network. Point-to-point bandwidth services are required to provide intra-Asian and Asia-Europe research network connectivity. This document invites organisations participating in the procurement (the Tenderers) to tender for point to point connectivity for the CAREN network: — Between Central Asia NREN POPs and CAREN POPs; — Between Central Asia NREN POPs with GEANT/TEIN POPs; — Between CAREN POPs. Contracts that may be awarded from this procurement will run for a maximum term of 3 years.
