St Helens Provision of External Counselling Services

Tender description

We are seeking to procure a supplier for the provision of a counselling service to St Helens Council staff and also to staff from other external organisations who the Occupational Health (OH) deliver services to under existing agreements. For the purpose of this specification counselling is defined as the following: “…a systematic process which gives individuals an opportunity to explore, discover and clarify ways of living more resourcefully, with a greater sense of well being. Counselling may be concerned with addressing and resolving specific problems, making decisions, coping with crises, working through conflict, or improving relationships with others” (Department of Health, 2001) The Council’s Occupational Health team is located in the Corporate Services Department, and is part of the Human Resources Team. The team has specially trained healthcare staff to assist managers, employees and elected members with any problems regarding the impact of work on health and health on work. Keywords: Counselling
