Sexual Health Services on the Isle of Wight

Integrated Sexual Health Service (Level 3) for Isle of Wight. Local Authorities took on the responsibility for commissioning most sexual health services in April 2013, as part of their public heath duties under the Health and Social Care Act 2012. This includes the provision of comprehensive, confidential, open access level 3 sexual health services, with services for: Contraception (outside of the GP Contract), Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) testing and treatment (outside of the GP Contract), Chlamydia Testing as part of the national chlamydia screening programme, Psychosexual counselling, Specialist outreach services for young people, Sexual Health Promotion and HIV prevention Services. The Isle of Wight local authority are looking to engage the market in identifying options for the future commissioning and subsequent provision of these services. This notice is being used to engage any interested organisations that wish to help inform and shape the Isle of Wight Council Level 3 Sexual Health Services prior to this service being tendered under the Public Contracts Regulations 2015. It is intended that, following the tendering process, the contract for Sexual Health Services will commence on 1 September 2017.
