Tender description

The contract will be for Health Visiting and School Nursing Services (0-19 Children's Service) excluding Early Help Services. From October 2015 the Isle of Wight Council's (The Authority's) public health commissioning responsibility for children was extended to an age range of 0-19 years of age. This includes the Healthy Child Programme and the National Child Measurement Programme. It also includes the commissioning of Health Visiting and School Nursing Services using the 0-19 national service specification with local requirements added where needed. The Authority is looking to engage the market in identifying options for the future commissioning and subsequent provision of these services. Please note that the Authority already has an Early Help Service for 0-19s. It is expected that any provider will work in collaboration with this existing service to provide 0 -19 services that meets population demand and need. This notice is being used to engage any interested organisations that wish to help inform and shape the Authority's 0-19 School Nurse and Health Visitor service prior to this service being tendered under the Public Contracts Regulations 2015. It is intended that the contract for Health Visiting and School Nursing Services will commence on 1.4.2017. We wish to encourage all interested organisations to register on the South East Business Portal.
