Tender description

The London Borough of Richmond upon Thames (‘the Council’) is seeking to award a contract for the provision of Advocacy Services for adults. Following the new Care Act 2014 statutory obligations for Local Authorities, the Council has seen an increase in demand for IMCA interventions and the role of paid representatives. The Council has taken the decision to bring all Advocacy services for adults together under a single contract and to create a ‘Single Point of Access’. The aim is provide more coordinated and joined up provision of Advocacy services covering: — Care Act Advocacy; — Independent Mental Capacity Advocacy (IMCA); — Independent Mental Health Advocacy (IMHA); — NHS Complaints Advocacy; — Appropriate Adult; — Independent Advocacy (non- statutory advocacy); — Paid representatives for DoLS (verbal agreement). The Council will award the contract to the highest scoring Tenderer once the evaluation process has been completed. The contract will be for a period of 3 years with the option to extend for a further 2 years.
