Tender description
Subject to the provisions of the Contract, the Pumping Station Maintenance works consist of undertaking the regular cyclic planned and reactive maintenance of thirty Sefton owned or operated installations including sewage, surface water and land drainage pumping stations, and a number of fountains within the locations referred to in the Specification, identified on the drawings and referred to in the appended Price List. The pumping stations are located throughout the borough of Sefton and include general drainage installations, schools, leisure facilities, markets and ornamental fountains. At some locations there may be more than one pumping station located within the site area. Brief details of each pumping station is given in Appendix D2 The maintenance contract also includes the provision of a 2 hours and 24 hours Reactive Maintenance service requirement. The Contractor shall undertake the cyclic planned maintenance visits to the pumping stations at the frequency described in this contract and shall programme the operations accordingly. The contractor is required to undertake site specific Risk Assessments at each site prior to commencing the maintenance operations. The contract also requires that a detailed site inventory and condition survey to be prepared by the Contractor as part of the initial planned visit to each installation under this contract, and to be forwarded to the Supervisor. The Contractor is responsible for making his own arrangements as to the tipping sites he will use for the disposal of any debris arising from his works and for ensuring that all the necessary licences or permissions are in place. Working Hours are 7am to 7pm on Mondays to Saturdays inclusive but at no other time without prior approval other than for an Emergency / Reactive call out. .
