Tender description

This Prior Information Notice Relates to a Pre Tender Event. This is not, at this Stage, A Contract Opportunity. Somerset County Council has a statutory duty to make support available to young people below the age of 19 (up to 25 for SEND) that will encourage, enable or assist them to participate in education or training and to secure sufficient, suitable education and training provision. In order to fulfil this duty, the local authority is expected to track the participation of young people in education, employment and training, and ensure that all young people who are not in education, employment or training (NEET) are supported to participate. The September Guarantee process underpins the delivery of these duties. This is the process by which all 16-17 year olds receive an offer of a suitable place in education or training by the end of September each year. Pre Tender Event — 9.8.16, 11:00 - 13:00. Interested providers are invited to attend a Pre-Tender Event with Somerset County Council in Taunton. The event will be an opportunity to hear details about the service that is being commissioned and to ask any questions you may have. Due to the venue size, we have to restrict the number of representatives attending to 2 from each organisation. This notice does not represent a formal commitment by the Council to undertake a procurement procedure. Event Details Date: 9.8.2016. Time: 11:00 - 13:00. Location: County Hall, Taunton. If you are unable to attend the event the presentation and any Q&A's will be available through the Pro-Contract.
