Tender description

Rapidly emplaced mobile military bridging. The Authority has a requirement for the future supply, maintenance, repair, training and provision of spares for a number of Close Support and General Support bridging systems: — Close Support: i. Provides a medium gap crossing capability. Each system is expected to consist of 2 x 14 m bridges and 1 x 26 m bridge with the ability to undertake ‘combination bridging’; ii. The transport for the resupply of bridges to the Titan Armoured Vehicle Launcher Bridge (AVLB) is part of the Tyro requirement; iii. The bridges shall be launched/ recovered in the direct fire zone (under armour) using the in-service Titan AVLB in approximately 6 minutes. — General Support: i. Provides a long gap crossing capability. Each system is expected to span a gap of 30 m scalable upto 44 m with additional panels; ii. The transport of the bridges is part of the Tyro requirement; iii. The launch/ recovery of the bridges is part of the Tyro requirement. The deployment of a 30m bridge shall be possible in approximately 45 minutes. Close Support and General Support systems must facilitate unrestricted crossings up to a Military Load Classification of 100 Tracked (Challenger 2 Use Case) as well as wheeled traffic and must be compliant with the Tri-Lateral Design and Test Code (TDTC). Planning Assumption for Service Entry (PASE) is 2022. Out of Service Date (OSD) is planned for 2040.
