Tender description

The contract is for the supply of Pool Cars and other commercial / accessible passenger carrying vehicles. Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council currently operate a fleet of approximately 140 leased vehicles, of which approximately 30 % are small vans and approximately 2-5 % are accessible vehicles. The remainder of vehicles is cars. Please note that this pattern may change and we may see an increase in accessible vehicles during the contract period. The contract covers long term lease and short term lease vehicles but excludes spot hire of vehicles. Cars are normally hired for periods of 36 and 48 months — Commercial vehicles are usually hired for 60 months. However, other contract lengths may be required. Contract Mileage is usually in the range of 10 000 to 20 000 miles pa. The contract is for the supply of Pool Cars and other commercial / accessible passenger carrying vehicles. Contract Mileage is usually in the range of 10 000 to 20 000 miles pa. The contract will be awarded to 3 companies to ensure coverage of vehicle types and availability. Bidders will be asked to quote for a number of vehicles (Make and Model), however this is only for evaluation purposes to ensure like for like quotations and this is no guarantee of vehicle types or quantities actually required.
