Tender description

Works comprise the careful removal of the original corridor fire break door sets (timber & glass) & the hanging of the new sets (10 Nr) FD 30 with brush smoke seals & new s.a.a ironmongery & magnetic hold back plates to permit the doors to be held open unless the fire alarm sounds & they close automatically. Additionally 4 pairs of powder coated aluminium doors with a new powder coated aluminium frame are to replace timber & glass units at four positions on the final escape positions on fire corridors. The Contractor’s Construction Phase Plan shall fully detail all aspects of the above outline plan including naming all specialists responsible for design and manufacture of the new door sets.
