Tender description
Between July 2015 and July 2017 North Somerset Council will be recomissioning its domiciliary care service. As part of this process the Council will be tendering its Support to Live at Home service across North Somerset as well as tendering four Extra Care Housing schemes in the region. The Support to Live at Home service is for: twenty four hour home care provision for older and disabled people (including those funded by Health for ongoing long term health conditions); end of life care at home; dementia care; and reablement. The service is divided into five separate geographical areas which will be tendered as four separate contract opportunities at different phases between 2015 and 2017 (see below for detail on the phases). The Extra Care Housing schemes are for the provision of home care at four specific extra care housing schemes and these will also tendered as four separate contracts at different phases (see below). The work does not include: provision for people with a learning disability; provision for people with poor mental health; or provision for people funded by health and social care due to complex needs. The Support to Live at Home contract will be a spot purchase contract. The geographical area in question for the delivery of home care comprises: • Bleadon • Hutton • Uphill • Weston Super Mare There are approximately 2500 home care hours delivered in this area currently per week. Extra Care Housing The Extra care scheme included in this tender is: Worle Scheme, Trenleigh Drive, Worle, BS22 6LT - 64 one and two bedroom apartments and a Wellness Centre, approximately 600 hours of home care per week anticipated. With regards the Wellness centre, this Service is currently providing approximately 18 full day sessions per day. The Wellness Centre has the capacity to take up to 25 full day sessions per day. Pricing will be required to be submitted on this basis however the final pricing menu/structure may be subject to change following negotiation with the Council and Alliance Homes.
