Tender description

NHS England London Region (the Contracting Authority) is seeking to identify suitable providers of Out of Hours Urgent Dental Care (OOHUDC) Face to Face (F2F) treatment sessions as part of its medium to long-term strategy for the development and delivery of OOHUDC services across London. OOHUDC F2F treatment slots will be available to patients only on the basis of being allocated a slot by the London Dental Nurse Triage (DNT) service. The DNT services were subject to a separate procurement and this procurement refers only to the clinical service provision element (OOHUDC treatment slots). A review completed by NHS England has indicated patient need for a number of accessible locations across London where urgent dental services can be delivered outside of normal surgery hours. As a result, the OOHUDC contracts will provide access to treatment for patients who have been clinically triaged by telephone and require same day treatment. These service contracts are split into 6 Lots (see detailed advert and map attached). The contract/s let as a result of this procurement to deliver OOHUDC F2F services will be 5 years (60 months) followed by an optional extension period of 2 years (24 months). Therefore if all extension options are used, the maximum (extended) contract period will be 7 years (84 months). The envisaged start date for the new services is currently 1st May 2016. Tender responses must be submitted via the online questionnaires by 29th February 2016 at 10:00am. Following this procurement process, the Contracting Authority intends to award one contract for each of the Lots described above. Further information on the proposed structure of the contract is provided in the ITT documentation made available online to interested parties on the e-tendering portal. The ITT documentation is available online on https://procontract.due-north.com/register website. If you are not already registered on the portal you will need to register.
