Supported by the Coventry & Warwickshire Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP), Coventry University will be opening the National Transport Design Centre (NTDC) at its Technology Park in spring 2017. The centre will focus on design research, post-graduate education and industry engagement, both with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) in the transport sector (automotive, rail, marine and aerospace), suppliers in those sectors and potential new entrants. The facility will be equipped with industrial standard, state-of-the-art equipment, to ensure that NTDC can offer high quality design solutions, both physical and virtual, based on the outcomes of Coventry University’s design research. One of the key facilities will be a rapid data capture systems that can supply traceable data, to industry standards and accepted best practice. This facility will provide the centre with the ability to capture, analyse and construct complex data sets for surface construction and machining analysis in dynamic large volume 3D environments. This tender opportunity is for the supply and installation of: Lot 1 – A Digital Measuring Camera (Photogrammetry) with full frame sensors We have a budget of between £30,000 and £35,000 (excluding VAT) for this facility. Lot 2 – A Structured light 3D Data Capture and Manipulation We have a budget of between £90,000 and £110,000 (excluding VAT) for this facility. Suppliers may tender for one or both Lots.
