KMCIRS-044 Phone Based Payments - Parking Fees

Tender description

The Council currently has 34 pay and display car parks throughout three geographical areas (Dewsbury, Holmfirth and Huddersfield). There are approximately 4,000 available parking spaces in these car parks. The Council also has over 1,000 on street pay and display spaces in Dewsbury and Huddersfield. There are currently 223 pay and display machines within all our parking areas. In the 12 month period 1 April 2014 and 31 March 2015, the Council recorded approximately 2,999,950 individual cash payment transactions at the 223 pay and display parking machines installed in car parks and adjacent on street parking spaces across the borough. In the same 12 month period (1 April 2014 and 31 March 2015), the Council recorded approximately 69,000 individual phone based payment transactions at the car parks and on street parking spaces across the borough. Tenders are invited by the Council of the Borough of Kirklees from Providers with relevant experience and ability to provide a Phone Based Payment Service for Parking Fees across the Kirklees District for their off-street pay and display car parks and on street pay and display parking places. It is anticipated that the Contract will run from the 1st April 2016 to the 31st March 2020 with the option to extend for up to three (3) further twelve (12) month periods.
