Tender description

The contract will be for the delivery of clinical services to children and young people aged 11 to 19, going up to 25 for those who are vulnerable. The successful Provider will be able to deliver expert clinical support to young people in the areas of sexual health, emotional well-being and wider well-being including with weight management as outlined below: Sexual Health: Staff will be qualified to carry out procedures including insertion of Long action reversible contraception as well as support young people on decisions relating to making informed choices, having safer sex, pregnancy and termination. The service will also deliver clinical sexual health outreach. Emotional and Mental health: Young people will be supported to look after their emotional well-being. There will be good understanding of the issues that affect young people including anxiety and eating disorders, and staff will be able to refer young people on to specialist support where required. Weight Management and Wider well-being: Young people identified as requiring intervention around healthy weight will be supported to make healthy eating choices and will be referred to specialist weight management services delivered by partners where appropriate. The successful Provider will be required to work with the Council's youth division who will deliver health promotion and education outreach in schools and youth settings. The Council will be responsible for signposting into the clinical service through direct work with young people in settings. A close operational relationship with the Council is a core feature of this contract. Working in close partnership with a number of other local agencies is also a key requirement.
